The day provides an opportunity for staff within the program to access a significant professional learning program to stimulate thinking, reflection and conversations around EAL practice.

The 2018 program included opening addresses from the Department of Education and Training - Nick Beckingsale, Executive Director and Chris Finch, Manager of the EAL Unit. Over 400 participants attended from English Language Schools and Centres.

The keynote speakers of the 2018 conference were  -
Associate Professor Russell Cross, Associate Professor in Language and Literacy Education at The University of Melbourne
Associate Professor Misty Adoniou, Associate Professor in Language, Literacy and TESOL at the University of Canberra
